Finding wellness through making.

Meet Carolyn

Welcome to Living Skies Fibre Studio!

Hi! I'm Carolyn Carleton, the fiber artist and designer behind Living Skies Fibre Studio.

Fibre arts became a source of mental wellness for me during a challenging period of health issues several years ago, and it has since become a lifelong passion. My journey with fiber arts began in my teens, knitting alongside my Grandmother, and the love for fiber has never left me.

I live in the Land of Living Skies - Saskatchewan, Canada, with my husband and two adult daughters. The natural beauty of my surroundings continuously inspires my original crochet and knitting designs. Over the years, I've had the privilege of having my designs featured in magazines, subscription boxes, and best-sellers on Etsy and Ravelry. My first pattern was published in 2014.

Driven by my love for fiber, I have been teaching the craft for several years at my local arts center and in school classrooms. In 2019, I created a hands-on workshop called Weaving into Wellness, which incorporates a woven craft and teaches about the mental health benefits of creating with fiber.

I am a proud member of the Prince Albert Spinners and Weaver's Guild and have recently become an ambassador for the Campaign for Wool in Canada.

Thank you for visiting Living Skies Fibre Studio, where creativity and wellness are woven together.
